Welcome to Laois Volunteer Centre, We are an independent organisation which works with individuals and not for profit / Charity organisations to carry out a range of activities to improve our communities.The Laois Volunteer Centre is part of the national network of volunteer centres, supported by Volunteer Ireland. 

We provide the following services for volunteers:

  • Information about volunteering opportunities
  • Talk to someone on the how, why and where of volunteering you are interested in.
  • Support and advice about volunteering.
  • Management of the I-VOL app where you can register your interest in volunteering opportunities.

We also provide services for organisations who would like to engage with volunteers:

  • Finding and matching suitable volunteers.
  • Practical support and advice about volunteer engagement and management.
  • Garda Vetting services for organisations who do not have an authorised signatory in their organisation.
  • Free/low-cost training on various volunteer related matters such as Garda Vetting, Volunteer Engagement etc.
  • Management of the I-VOL app where you can post your volunteer vacancies.
