We aim to be a ‘one stop shop’ for all your volunteering needs in County Laois. Laois Volunteer Centre is an independent organisation which works with individuals and organisations to carry out a range of activities to improve our communities.

Interested in Volunteering?

We provide the following services for volunteers:

  • Information about volunteering opportunities
  • Information about finding suitable volunteering opportunities – matching your skills, talents and abilities to a suitable organisation/organisations, taking into account the time you have available, your interests etc.
  • Support and advice about volunteering.
  • Management of the I-VOL app where you can register your interest in volunteering opportunities.

Are you an Organisation Needing Volunteers?

We also provide services for organisations who would like to engage with volunteers:

  • Finding and matching suitable volunteers.
  • Practical support and advice about volunteer engagement and management.
  • Garda Vetting services for organisations who do not have an authorised signatory in their organisation.
  • Free/low-cost training on various volunteer related matters such as Garda Vetting, Volunteer Engagement etc.
  • Corporate volunteering – To learn more please contact us.
