At Kerry Volunteer Centre we are acutely aware that many volunteers and employees throughout Kerry are selflessly responding to the needs and wellbeing of vulnerable people throughout our county. Due to the surreal nature of these COVID-19 days feelings of stress, anxiety or of just being overwhelmed are understandable and can be common. Stress is a natural and healthy response to challenging situations or life events, and can sometimes be helpful. However, at times, stress can become overwhelming and affect our ability to cope and can negatively impact our wellbeing and mental health.
In valuing volunteers and employees we wish to encourage and support you in minding your own wellbeing. To help you do this we share many tips and supports on the Kerry Volunteer Centre Facebook Page ranging from details of free mindfulness courses, to self care tips and positive/uplifting message. Today we are delighted to share with you a guide that has been developed in partnership with Mental Health Ireland that is full with useful advice and tips.
