Annual Report 2021

The completion of the Laois Volunteer Centre first annual report marked an important milestone in the advancement of volunteering in Laois. Its publication is also a testament to the work of the voluntary board and the staff of the Laois Volunteer Centre who have worked together with the vital guidance with Volunteer Ireland and crucial funding from the Department of Rural and Community Development. The Laois Volunteer‘s Centre stated objectives, activities and achievements in 2021 can be found in the 2021 annual report.

Annual Report 2022

2022 saw a sizable uptake in organisations availing of our services as more organisations returned to holding events and activities post Covid. This led to a greater number of VIO registration and therefore, more volunteering roles being created collaboratively, advertised and volunteers being placed. A summary of the organisation’s activities and financial performance for 2022 can be found in this published report.

Annual Report 2023

2023 Annual Report gave a great insight into how much the volunteer centre has grown since 2021. You can see evidence of this from the statistic’s section in the report. Although the Volunteer Centre is growning it is about maintaining the Organisations and building relationships with these Organisations while posting Volunteer Opportunities and having volunteering roles for our Volunteers. The Volunteers continue to grow.

Annual Report 2024

The 2024 Annual Report gives a great insight into another strong year for Laois Volunteer Centre. This can be seen in the statistics section of the report, with 322 new volunteers registered, 31 new Volunteer Involving Organisations, 789 opportunities applied for and 588 volunteers referred to organisations. Although the Volunteer Centre continues to grow, the focus remains on maintaining and building strong relationships with organisations, while continuing to post meaningful volunteer opportunities and support volunteers in finding suitable roles.

2024 also saw growth through corporate volunteering projects, support for New Communities and the first Community and Voluntary Expo for young people, showing the continued importance of volunteering across Laois.
