Laois Volunteer centre attended the Alone Conference on the 23th of May 2024, the confernece was held at Maynooth University in Kildare. What a fantastic day this was, lots of information was shared. There were keynote speakers and panellist’s that tackled the big topic’s ranging from the “Economic value of ageing” in terms of volunteer hours, care hours, “Housing with new modules of housing for older persons” and “Care in the community”. The HSE, Community and voluntary groups are helping to faciliate this. It was incredibly insighful.
