The completion of the Laois Volunteer Centre first Annual Report marks an important milestone in the advancement of volunteering in Laois. Its publication is also a testament to the work of the voluntary board and the staff of the Laois Volunteer Centre who have worked together with the vital guidance with Volunteer Ireland and crucial funding from the Department of Rural and Community Development.
The Laois Volunteer Centre was established in 2014. The centre has helped to promote volunteering across the county of Laois for many years with various projects including a community volunteer programme. The Laois Volunteer Centre also facilitates opportunities with the voluntary sector in supporting communities to volunteer locally and through social enterprise initiatives.
